Will Rove Join the Military?
Karl Rove reportedly intends to do some hunting in the early days of his retirement. But I think that's just modesty. I think, really, he's in training...to join the US military. Surely one of the Republicans who thinks this war is not indefensible will eventually join the military. Now that the military is accepting soldiers into their forties, many of them are still qualified to join. And while Karl Rove is older, he has pull--I am confident the President would be willing to give Rove a personal exemption so Rove could go off to fight in Iraq just as soon as Rove has prepared himself by shooting at birds. And no doubt the President will seek to enlist in the military and go to Iraq just as soon as he's out of office.
Iraq has made America less safe, and poorer, and it has made Iraq less safe, and poorer, and it has greatly enhanced the wealth of the financial backers of Islamic terror, while simultaneously discrediting democracy throughout much of the Arab world. The President believes God chose him to be President. If that's the case, then God appears to be on the side of the terrorists.
